Get up 8am pack the truck, eat as much as you can, because you won't be eating all day.Leave on the road at 10am. Your thoughts are focused but your stomach is in knots. The sky is clear and you tell yourself it's just another day. Then you arrive at the venue. Your body is over takin by a rush of adrenaline and fear. You want the night to go so perfectly so you can get the compliment at the end of the night of good job and the people in attendance are left screaming with excitement. This is just a small part of what a true entertainer feels when getting ready for a show.

How an independent artist can self sustain in the music industry today!

Three easy tips for being a self sustained independent artist.

1. Keep your image as clean as possible. Present yourself in a professional manner no matter who you are around.Ex: Dress clean and be poised for success.

2. Have your own personal business card and promote yourself and your name as your product. Your name is everything in this business.

3.Network with industry professionals in all apects of the business. Example if your a rock band, make sure you not only network with other bands and promoters, but network with the catering staffs, security staffs, production staffs and everyone that is involved in putting on a show. Networking is the key to an avenue of opportunity.
